Kacper Cyckowski

I'm currently a third-year Graphic Design student at UWE Bristol. My interest in design started during my Art and Design course in college. To expand my skills, I did a Foundation course at Wiltshire College in Trowbridge, where I explored visual communication.

During my time at university, I've focused on creating different types of designs, like publications and posters. I've always had a passion for working with type and print. I had studied this module within my Second Year and have pushed myself heavily towards Editorial Design. Each project I've worked on has helped me grow as a designer, from experimenting with typography to learning about printing techniques.

I'm proud of the work I've created so far. I'm excited to keep learning and improving as I continue my journey in Graphic Design. After university I hope to go into the Editorial Design industry, pushing my skillset further and learning new ones along the way.

Rooted, Hair Zine
In the first semester of my third year, I looked into the concept of "Texture Within Everyday Life." Throughout this exploration, I concentrated on the intricate textures and profound historical significance of Black hair. To convey the idea of our history being deeply ingrained within us, I crafted a larger A3 fold-out section inside an A5 zine, with the front cover featuring letterpressing.

Exploring the various textures and the profound historical significance associated with this type of hair.
